The University of Wisconsin DanceSport Team is a UW organization founded in 2004 by a group of UW students and alumni with the purpose of promoting and training ballroom dancers to accomplish ballroom dancing at the competitive level. Our Mission: To produce outstanding ballroom dancers who are able to compete successfully at all levels from beginners to national champions alike.
DanceSport Team membership fee per semester (Fall or Spring) is Full Year Membership is $200/Student and $250/Non-Student which including the following benefits 1) Lessons every Saturday, starting at 1:00PM, The Right Step Studio. See schedule for full time listing as lesson lengths vary. 2) Led practice by experienced members every Tuesday 6pm-9pm, Union South, Check TITU for room assignment 3) Optional practice every Monday 7pm-9pm and Thursday, 6:00PM-8:00PM, Union South, Check TITU for room assignment and every Wednesday, 4:00-6:30PM, 249 Lathrop Hall. 4) Discounted private lessons from our coach, Dakota Windancer and access to The Right Step Studio floor space 5) Complimentary UWMBDA membership, which generally cost $12/students and $20/non-students per semester (Visit www.uwmbda.org for more information) 6) DanceSport Team jacket for only additional $25 7) Some support to cover dance competition expenses 8) Unlimited moral support from our team members 9) Lots and lots of fun : ) |
